Sweet Summertime |By Pat Redfield, Sales Associate and Resident

What do the summer months in Verrado mean? Children are out of school, swimming pools are being enjoyed by families, children are riding their bikes around town, and it is always a fun and busy time in Verrado.
All of this activity allows our agents to show the vitality of Verrado and all that it offers to visitors. While we often think of the heat slowing the real estate market, we have seen a trend in very qualified buyers during this season. When a buyer comes out in the heat to look at homes, they are quite serious about buying. This is good news for those currently listing their homes and those considering listing. Of course keeping a listed home well cooled is imperative.
We must remember all of the amenities Verrado has to offer prospective buyers; seventy seven parks, miles of hiking trails, a championship golf course, fantastic swimming pools, a dog park with 2 sides, one for small dogs and the other for larger dogs. Our own small hometown has a pharmacy, Bashes Grocery, restaurants, a real estate office, a barber shop, the Blue Daisy Spa, and of course a fully equipped work out center.
The Heritage Swim Park is a wonderful newer addition to our small home town. It has two pools, one of which has a beach entrance, wonderful for little ones to get in and out of. There is also a splash pad with illuminating lights that change colors, great for night time fun. In addition, there are areas of shade to beat the heat! It boasts two separate gas grilling areas, and a complete kitchen with refrigerator and freezer, plenty of grilling tools for the perfect family BBQ. “BYOF and D”, bring your own food and drink and your party is complete!
Summer is also a time to be watchful of children playing in the parks and on the street. As we drive through the community, let’s be careful as residents are out and about on golf carts, bikes and scooters, enjoying summer activities.
Did you know, right here in Verrado, we have available to anyone who wants to participate, a volunteer police vehicle? This vehicle can be used to patrol the streets of Verrado in an attempt to curb speeding, find lost dogs and answer any myriad of questions. So if you have the time and inclination, the Buckeye Police would love for you to volunteer and drive the vehicle for a few hours a week.
